Important Hindu Festivals List

Religious celebrations and official holidays are totally different aspect to the secular Indian democratic ruling. The nation being so vast has sometimes many regional festivals which has no significance in the other part of the nation. The Onam festival is one of the most important celebrations of the South Indian community whereas it finds no trace in the northern part of the country. Bihu is celebrated as three different forms in Assam and Northeastern states but it is all blank in the southern part of the country. There are many other examples which proves this aspect.
